If I had to narrow down the top three things I love most in the world it would have to be: travel, family, and a nice bottle of chianti. I love everything about travel. I love landing in a new city, not knowing any of the language, and trying to figure out how to get on the train. I love walking around open markets in new places I’ve never been to. I’ve traveled by myself, and I’ve traveled with others. Just being in new places is the thrill for me!
While I’ve lived in some remote tropical places where nature dominates over people, my favorite places are old sleepy towns in Europe filled with cobblestone streets, narrow alleys, and laundry hung to dry on lines strung over the streets. I enjoy taking time to sip my caffe latte while watching the energy of the world moving around me.
I have two kids who think that they are already adults. One is 12 and the other is 10. My daughter and I have fun getting dressed up to go to dinner and see a play. My son is a tech deck enthusiast and can ollie a miniature skateboard with his fingers – a skill that I will never master. For what it’s worth, what we do around here is considered pretty cool to those two and they’re a tough crowd!
