Rachel + Ben :: Lights, Camera, Action

Something that really fascinates me about weddings is that it can be a wonderful reflection of the couple’s personality. And for Rachel and Ben, their wedding was an amazing expression of who they are and what makes their story unique. They are both very creative and artistic and their wedding displayed their talents beautifully.

Rachel described her wedding to me as “Red Carpet, theatre, and yet very intimate and personal.” They chose a truly great location: the California Center for the Arts, Escondido. As guests arrived they were ushered into the theatre’s green room. After a half an hour or so of mingling, the lights flickered, which indicated the guests were allowed to take their seats in the theatre, which was a surprise – none of the guests had been told that the ceremony was taking place on the stage of the theatre. As he saw Rachel for the first time in her wedding dress, walking down the aisle towards him, the look in Ben’s eye expressed his love and awe at her amazing natural beauty.
