I met Tres about 20 years ago via my friend Ron, who grew up with Tres in Napa. When the opportunity came up to photograph Tres and Sarah’s Napa wedding, I was so excited: good people, Napa, friends, wine. I mean, come on! How better could it get!?!
Tres is the winemaker for Krupp Brothers, one of the largest grape producers in the Napa Valley. Sarah handles hospitality and public relations for a winery in St. Helena. The wedding ceremony took place at at a private estate in the beautiful St. Helena foothills. The morning of the wedding it was so foggy that we could barely see 5 feet in front of the car. We hadn’t been up there before so we couldn’t really tell how impressive of a setting it was until the fog cleared, but omg – it was beyond incredible! It turned out to be a gorgeous day. After the ceremony, we walked around the vineyards with Tres and Sarah and their little dog Oliver, who is so cute he’s almost more stuffed animal than dog.
At their reception we loved all the details and creativity. They had DIY hearts strung across their table, antique arrow bulb signs, an old ladder with various photos of family that couldn’t be there. We loved the old fashion candy and how they each had a suggested signature drink. Their details were a definite inspiration.
We love wine, we love good people, and we loved the opportunity to travel to Napa to capture Tres and Sarah’s wedding!
